About the Coachability project

We’re exploring what makes people open to feedback, growth, and change.

WHY THIS PROJECT EXISTS We Are

The Coachability Project grew out of a question that kept surfacing in Leslie Mizerak’s work as an executive coach: What makes someone open to coaching, feedback, and growth - and what gets in the way?

Leslie founded Get Courageous Coaching in 2015 after more than 20 years working in leadership development. Since then, her work with leaders and organizations has reinforced something important: coachability isn’t as simple as being “coachable” or “uncoachable.” The same person can be curious and open in one situation and guarded or resistant in another.

That observation became the starting point for The Coachability Project - an independent exploration of what influences our willingness to question our assumptions, consider another perspective, experiment with new behaviors, and grow.

Because perhaps the more useful question isn’t “Are you coachable?”

It’s “How coachable are you right now?”
